Las Vegas, Nevada, September 1st, 2020- The Vance Johnson Recovery Center, a provider of addiction treatment to patients suffering from substance use disorders, announced today that it has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Behavioral Health Care and Human Services. This Gold Seal serves as proof that a health care facility is dedicated to patient recovery and safety at all stages of treatment.

The Vance Johnson Recovery Center completed a thorough, detailed inspection by The Joint Commission on 8/14/20 to receive this accreditation. Facility staff reviewed all aspects of patient care with specially trained healthcare professionals who conducted a comprehensive survey monitoring treatment options’ safety and efficacy. During the review process, this Las Vegas addiction treatment center was measured by ability to provide a safe environment for patient care, education about risks, options for diagnosis and treatment, protect patient rights, evaluate patients’ conditions, protect against COVID-19 infection, and plan for emergency situations.

Achieving this accreditation means that VJRC has demonstrated the highest standards of quality in terms of our facility, programming, client care, and safety, staff, and record-keeping, as well as many other areas.” Said Dan Mager, MSW, Administrator of The Vance Johnson Recovery Center.

The Joint Commission standards for accreditation were developed by health care professionals in conjunction with addiction and mental health experts. The accreditation process is based on current scientific research and standards as well as patient input, which guarantees that all criteria are based on the most relevant factors in patient care and wellness.
